My Butterfly Garden
I have always loved butterflies and their individual beauty.I had no idea that they were a dwindling species. Until my husband and I visited Phoenix Arizona. We took a day trip to a place called Butterfly Wonderland http://www.butterflywonderland.com,
What a great place to visit.
The tour started with a 3D movie about the flight of the butterfly. The 3D animation was fabulous. I hate to admit it but I was roped in. I was like a child seeing her first movie in the Cinema. The movie was very informative and visually beautiful. I felt like I was flying with the butterfly through it’s miraculous journey. The next part of the tour was the indoor butterfly garden,Every butterfly you could imagine. What a wonderful sight.
Butterflies are like most animals or insects, In the warmer months they search far and wide for their mate in all the 50 states. They decide to settle in for a short visit lay their eggs and off they go to Mexico, leaving the colder more brutal months behind. In Mexico all the species gather together on the vast trees in unity. Unfortunately the warm tropical countries are being swallowed up by construction and the butterflies safe havens are being destroyed. But every year their survival is in danger.
So this year I was inspired to plant a butterfly garden to help the species survive. It’s been worth it. I am addicted and drawn to the garden. Every morning when I get up I sit and watch which butterfly species has visited

Graduation Time
A big weekend for graduations. It’s interesting how fast time flies by. Its seems like we just celebrated high school graduation, for our middle child, now its college graduation. The biggest problem about graduating is the fact the real world is cruel, yes crueler than high school. It’s hard to adjust when you have to do a 9 to 5 job everyday. College yes, there are all nighters and parties but you don’t have a set schedule. You get use to sleeping in because class is in late afternoon. Having a day without a class so you can just stay put and do what you want.
So if you are a graduate this weekend congratulations. Enjoy the celebration of your achievements. Eat drink and be merry, the real world is right around the corner.
28 Years and counting
Relationships are work in progress all the time. I have been married to the same man for 28 years. People ask me how I do it. I say to them ,You can’t change the person you married. All the traits you hated before you got married they won’t go away. You have to love the whole person bad and good. Don’t try to change him, it doesn’t work. Don’t demand .Discuss. Accept the person he or she is.
If you are unhappy with that person, and you want him to be different and change who he is find another sucker. Don’t marry him or her if you can’t talk or reason with them. You need to laugh with each other not at each other. You also have to pick and choose your fights some things are not worth fighting about. You have to listen, love them unconditionally and don’t hold stuff…

Goodbye Auntie Sue
I have been out of work for a while. So I decided to make my time worth while. I have two aunts in their 80s, So I made it a part of my weekly routine to visit.Every Tuesday morning I would visit my aunt in Lawrence at the nursing home. Afternoon I would visit my aunt in Methuen at her daughters house. Last week I finally got a job and those Tuesday visits were not possible. So I called my aunts to let them know I was unable to visit. I felt very bad, I loved visiting them they made me smile, it was a wonderful experience getting to know them again.
On Friday after work I had this uncontrollable urge and a sense of urgency to visit with her. It was late afternoon and my boys came with me. We got to the nursing home on Friday afternoon her son, her granddaughter, and her great granddaughters where there visiting from California. She was very talkative and happy to see everyone.
Oxygen was a part of her daily life,so when she began wheezing a bit with her oxygen on I knew this was not a good sign. She looked tired and pale.I began to think about what was to come. I felt good about our visit but I didn’t feel confident about seeing her next week.
On Monday morning I received a call from my sister. I knew this was not good. My Aunt Sue had passed away.I was not surprised but I was very sad.
While attending the funeral, all I could do to keep myself from crying was this.I pictured my aunt around a gigantic table surrounded by her family members that had passed welcoming her and celebrating her entrance into heaven.
Attending the dinner was my mom, grandpa, grandma, uncle Bill, her husband Al,my god parents and all the other relatives who left this world. She was laughing so hard and her smile was big and bright something I hadn’t seen in years. The table was long covered with the longest white table cloth I ever seen. She was dressed in a colorful flowered sequence blouse, big earrings, and so much bright costume jewelry it lit up the room. She was sitting next to my mom catching up and talking about me,my sisters, brothers, and all her grandchildren she never met. It was a wonderful vision to soothe my sorrowed heart.
I did feel sad but I had no guilt or regrets about her death. I was her sunshine every week with my visits as she was mine through my whole life.I felt so honored to have the opportunity to see her on a weekly basis.
So Suzie say hi to my mom for me and tell her we all miss her and love her with all our hearts.
Take the time today to visit a relative that is aging. If you can make it a weekly experience do it.Because when their time comes you will feel sad but you will have no regrets or guilt. Take time to appreciate them and their lives. It is a small sacrifice to make for a smile and to celebrate them.Have a nice day.
Basket of wishes sent your way.
