A Mother’s Day Salute

My mom passed away many years ago but I am fortunate to have lovely woman in my life to lean on and vent to

I lost my mom many years ago.So Mother’s Day is a very difficult day for me to absorb. Because of this my three boys and my husband make it a tradition to fuss over me every year. They Shower me with gifts food flowers and their company for the day. I love it but It took time to get use to because  after all as a mom its your nature to take care of others. Growing up in a family of 6 is a lot  of work for 1 mom to handle but my mom she did it. She did it with patience and grace .Her heart was as big as eternity and filled with love kindness compassion and respect for us and others.  She always made time for each and everyone of us. She was an amazing women who never asked for anything from anyone. She was a giver and never spoke badly about others. She was a creative and a talented seamstress. On picture day her lovely handmade dresses made there first debut . She cleaned the house at night when we were all asleep so she could spend her time with us during the day. I always felt love no matter what happened in my life I knew she was always gonna be there for me. She was my angel on earth. So when my mom was diagnosed with cancer right after I graduated from high school, my whole world came to a stop.  I couldn’t imagine living in a world without my angel.  But fate steps in and there is nothing to do but plead with god.But when the pleading and the bargaining does’t work god steps in and gives you a gift. My gift was my husband of 35 years who got me through the worst moment of my life, my moms death in 1984. He became my angel when I needed one the most. Then there are my three sisters and two brothers to lean on as the years pass. So although my  beautiful mom is not on earth she is my angel in spirit now. Everyday I feel her love warm my heart and surround my soul like an enormous hug. My mom taught me love kindness respect patience compassion and there is beauty in all things. She always said if you are having a bad day someone is having a worse day so embrace it to make a better day tomorrow.I thank my mom for making me who I am and giving  me her strength to raise three wonderful boys.So Embrace life and make everyday count no matter what. Create a great memory that imprint your heart and others forever.

Happy Mother’s Day

A toast to all the moms out there This day is for you. Enjoy  yourself and create an un forgettable memory with your children or pet I know Mothers Day has passed But its never too late to celebrate some one special in your life.. A mom is someone to treasure each and every day. Because you never know when faith will step in and take her. I also understand that some people don’t have a good relationship with their mom because of difficult situations or hardship that has manifested in life .But in my heart I know everyone has a special women or person that. has made  a difference in their life so reach out and let them know.

20200419_193145
Hello everybody It’s been a while since I posted. Well on April 24 th my middle son turned 30 You only turn thirty once in your life so I learned a new technique ez lights. The technique let’s you light up your card with a tiny light insert. It looks hard but it isn’t if I can do it you can do it.This is a card I started,But in my excitement of completing it I forgot to take a picture of the finished project. Silly of me to forget but I can always take a full picture if I asked my son.He loved it.It was the perfect card for him.My son is a warm intelligent caring man who will be getting married in September.I love him with all my heart and he knows how to make me smile. He was always a curios kid when he was small asked all kinds of questions and would play with everything. So here it is the inside of his card. This will at least give you an idea on what it looks like. I purchased the Birthday cake pop up And the ez light insert from Karen Burniston.com.The Instructions  video was from Pearl Blossom Press. I hope you look into this technique and have as much fun as I did making it.I will update this blog when I get the picture of my finished project.
Thanks for visiting have a creative day.

Wedding Bliss

Its been a long time since I posted anything .In celebration of me and my husbands 34th wedding anniversary I thought I would post some wedding cards I created for my two nephews and their new wives. I Hope that their new beginning together will convince my boys to propose to their beautiful girlfriends. The creative process for me takes time. Each card I make has each person’s unique personality and style in mind. It may take me days to do. I do and re do them many times before  it comes together. The wedding I attended first was on State St in Boston Massachusetts. It was beautifully executed and so much fun.The wait staff was friendly and very accommodating. Some of them even showed us their dance moves while serving us.

The ceremony was personal and the vows were written from the heart. The love they share is pure and true. You can tell by every glance they exchanged. So the card shows the elegance of the day and the love in their hearts.

The second wedding we attended was in Newport Rhode Island .The wedding vows were just as amazing as the first. The love the bride and groom have for each other showed through also with each glance they exchanged. The view of the ocean from the venue was awesome the weather was beautiful .The vibe of this wedding was also elegant but a more casual atmosphere with a beach theme even offering flip flops for the dancing. There was no wedding cake but the bride and groom shared a cupcake showing their playful side. Each wedding  different but elegant and wonderful. To top it off the whole family got to be together. My boys ,their dad ,and their girlfriends where all dressed up. Everyone looked amazing. It was a great celebration of two couples embracing their new journey together as one. Congratulations to my nephews and their wives. May your lives from this day forward be blessed with happiness love and new adventures.  Love Auntie Kim
