I notice I didn’t have a fall card on my sight .I decided to whip one up,Besides I got a new punch and I had to try it. This card is a simple, as long as you have the stock. All I did was use some Army  green card stock, some dazzles,markers,corner rounder and my new mini  6 inch flourish punch I purchased on line.

This is a simple card to make.

Nothing says Autumn Like a scarecrow.

My son’s best friend’s sister is getting married tomorrow. My son called me to ask if I could make the couple a card.  It felt great, that he asked me to make it. That must mean he really likes my cards because he is giving them to others.

Remember  when your kids were young  the last thing they wanted to do is hang out, or go places with you. They ask to go to the movies and you had to drop them off where the parking lot started so their friends couldn’t see them being dropped off by you. When they went to the  mall they wanted your money  but walked ahead of you so they weren’t seen with you.

So when my son asked me to make the card for him you could imagine how I felt. Yes I felt like a kid at Christmas. Very excited.. So if your kids are still young and they don’t want to be seen with you. Don’t worry it’s just not convenient for them right now. I promise that will change. They will grow up to respect and enjoy their time with you. Really they will.

Baptism or Christening

My friends daughter baptized her son.

God has blessed this baby and his family with love and happiness.

Sunday my nephew is getting christened here is the card I made for him. I just looked up the difference between A christening and a baptism. To me it’s one in the same. Some people say they are different. Each ceremony is the act of  giving yourself to god. A baptism supposedly wipes your sins clean,but what sins can a newborn have? A christening I read is a naming ceremony. When a child leaves the hospital the name is already determined.  I believe the child in the catholic ceremony takes on the name of a saint.

May god bless this child forever

My heart belongs to mommy,daddy and god.

The god parents are suppose to make sure the child pursues the faith the parents have chosen for them.What if the father doesn’t believe in the whole christening thing and the mother insists. Isn’t this hypercritical? How do you explain to a child when they get older mom believes and dad doesn’t? Is it up to the godparents at this point to make sure  the child goes to church because one parent agrees and the other doesn’t. Is the  assignment of godparents an  easy way  so the parents don’t have to address the questions of religion?

Today is my Aniversary. My husband I went to Vermont we stayed at a wonderful Inn called Forty Putney Rd in Brattleboro Vermont Check it out!! You all know I make cards. Here is the card I made for the Love of my life. His heart was touched.Please let me know what you think of it.

Baby Reveal

Hi How many people out there know what a baby reveal party is? I never heard of it before but apparently it’s a new way to celebrate the sex of your baby. I mean why do people all of a sudden need to know what the sex of their baby is? Isn’t it more important your baby is healthy? People are so impatient these days everything has to be done right here right now.

What happened to the days you set goals and completed them in stages. What happen to working for things. There is nothing wrong with gradually completing stages in life. When you get everything at once what will you have to look forward to in your future.

Well any ways,here is how it goes the couple having a baby goes to their Dr. appointment have an ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby. The doctor writes the sex down on paper and the couple hands it to a baker . The couple orders a cake and the baker is instructed to put blue or pink frosting in the middle of the cake. The couple has a party feeds their guests dinner and then they cut the cake. Sounds like a baby shower to me right. Blue middle boy, pink middle

Sympathy

Sympathy is today’s card. This is a card that I hope I don’t make many of. Unfortunately it’s one of life’s stages we have no control over. My neighbor recently lost his mother

I know too well how it feels  to lose a mother. My mom passed away 28 years ago August. My husband and I  had planned to marry in May of that year but my mom was very ill with ovarian cancer.

So we planned a small house wedding on September 15th. On August 6,1984 mom passed away at home .We debated whether to change the wedding date one more time or continued with our plans.We knew she would want us to keep the date. Although most family members didn’t  agree with us keeping the date we did.

May you find comfort and support with the love from others that surround you.

The seat was left open where she would have sat. The  wedding was  wonderful and sad at the same time.  Our guest all had a wonderful time starting with a 11:00 am church service, A party where  the last guest to leave was 3:00 am

 

 

I Love You

Today’s card is a just because card. It of corse was made for my husband. I love my husband and I feel he is my soul mate. Some people never meet their soul mate.I think that would be sad. I believe that all things happen for a reason. I believe in Love at first site. But I was a nonbeliever before I met him.I thought that it only happened in the movies. The night I met my husband we talked all night about everything I felt like I knew him forever. The same  night I left to find my sister and when I came back he was dancing with another girl. I got so jealous. That is when I turned to my sister and said thats the man I am going to marry. Women out there no that when they want something they intend to get it and usually do.

We did get married as you know and have three grown boys together. I love and respect him with all my heart and soul. He’s a honest man,loving husband hard worker and a outstanding father. No one is perfect but he’s the only man I want to be with and grow old with.
